Professional development

Memorial Hospital is committed to the career development of our housestaff. This process begins early in internship when our new residents meet with the Program Director and faculty to discuss their individual career goals and to plan their educational curriculum. In addition, career development is promoted during the annual internship retreat which is held off site on a weekend in late October. Further, all housestaff are assigned a faculty adviser to aid with career planning. These ongoing relationships form the foundation of our mentorship program.

 

In addition, housestaff may elect to spend their conference week, during the second and third years, participating in a variety of regional or national seminars and meetings.
