Salaries and Benefits

Memorial Hospital offers housestaff physicians a handsome salary and benefits package that includes professional liability insurance (1 million/3 million claims made policy with tail covered), health insurance for housestaff members and their families, dental insurance for housestaff and their families, temporary medical licensure for the State of Rhode Island, long-term disability, life insurance, uniforms and laundry service, on-call meals, three weeks of paid vacation per year, an educational stipend which may be used during the second or third years to attend up to one additional week of educational conferences ($500), and the use of the Brown University cultural, academic and athletic facilities for self and family.

The hospital also observes all major federal and religious holidays.
